Digital Storytelling
Digital storytelling is a great way to get kids engaged in learning. Through the use of what has become "every day" tools for our students - graphics, audio, video animation and web publishing, even the most reluctant writer can get excited about creating stories, poems, songs, and journals. Students who have difficulty with composing or the mechanics of handwriting can narrate their ideas using a microphone and simple audio software. By adding pictures, sounds, music, audio clips, and video to their story, students can create personal stories that are creative and often more sophisticated than what may appear in a traditional pencil and paper form.
